Leonardo da Vinci:

Italian architect, inventor, engineer, philosopher, physicist, chemist, anatomist, sculptor, writer and painter from the Florentine Republic, during the Italian Renaissance. He is considered the textbook example of the Renaissance ideal of homo universalis and genius.
