Clyde Watson:

American author best known for her award-winning children’s books, particularly the Father Fox series, which includes Father Fox’s Pennyrhymes—a National Book Award runner-up.
She has written numerous children’s titles, such as Catch Me & Kiss Me & Say It Again, How Brown Mouse Kept Christmas, Father Fox’s Christmas Rhymes, and Applebet: An ABC, many of which feature original music composed by Watson herself.
Her work often collaborates with her sister, Wendy Watson, who provides illustrations for several books.

November comes and November goes. With the last red berries and the first white snows. With night coming early and dawn coming late, and ice in the bucket and frost by the gate. The fires burn and the kettles sing, and earth sinks to rest until next spring.
