Johnson was integral to the development and success of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) during the Attitude Era, a period of prosperity in the industry in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In addition to wrestling, Johnson is an actor and businessman. His films have grossed over $3.5 billion in North America and over $10.5 billion worldwide. He is co-owner of the United Football League (UFL), an American football league. He is also a member of the board of directors of TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of the UFC and WWE.
