Cecelia Ahern:
(Dublin, September 30, 1981) is an Irish writer.
Ahern is the daughter of former Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern and Miriam Kelly. Her older sister, Georgina, is married to Westlife’s Nicky Byrne. Ahern is currently in a relationship with David Keoghan.
In 2000, she was a member of the Irish pop group Shimma, with which she reached third place in the Irish national final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Ahern was the creator and, from 2007 to 2009, producer of the American television series Samantha Who?

Origin:
The line comes from Cecelia Ahern’s debut novel, “P.S. I Love You” (2004). The book is structured around a series of letters that Gerry, a young husband, writes to his wife Holly before his death, meant to be opened one by one to guide her through grief. Several of these letters open with a mock-dictionary definition of a word before moving into Gerry’s message — this “summer” passage introduces one of them.
Immediately after the definition, Gerry tells Holly he doesn’t have much time left — not literally, since she’s simply out buying ice cream and will be home soon — signaling this is one of his final letters. He goes on to thank her for changing him, tying the “summer of life” image to their relationship as that peak, perfect period in his own life.
