Jacque Fresco:
(Brooklyn, March 13, 1916 – Sebring, Florida, May 18, 2017). American industrial designer, author, inventor, futurologist and founder of The Venus Project.
He started his professional career as a design consultant for Rotor Craft Helicopter Company. He served in the Army at the Design and Development Unit at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, United States, and worked for the Raymond De-Icer Corporation as a research engineer.
In later years he advocated, among other things, an economy based on raw materials.
The advancement of technology could make more resources available to more people, eliminating corruption and greed and instead giving people more opportunity to help each other.

PEOPLE do not need to be governed and do not require leaders unless they are IGNORANT, CAPTIVE, WAGE SLAVES, or SUBJECT to a DICTATOR.

Origin:
The quote originates with Jacque Fresco and reflects the core of his life’s philosophy: that scarcity, ignorance, and economic dependency are the true foundations of political control, and that a scientifically advanced, resource-abundant society would naturally outgrow the need for governance. It is consistent with his broader body of work promoting a resource-based economy through The Venus Project.
