As a project staff member at the Scientific Institute for the CDA (Christian Democratic Appeal), he is developing a vision regarding the respective roles of society, markets, and government in fostering a healthy lifestyle. He previously served as a policy advisor for a health insurance company and, prior to that, as an analyst of politics and healthcare policy at the knowledge center Axon Connect. Adelaar is a political scientist and has published various articles on issues of solidarity within the healthcare sector.
