Oscar-Claude Monet:
(Paris, 14 November 1840 – Giverny, 5 December 1926).
French Impressionist painter. He is considered one of the most influential painters of his time. His loose brushstrokes and attention to natural changes led to a painting style that emphasised the feeling of a scene over its exact form. With his work Impression, soleil levant (1872), he laid the foundation for Impressionism.

My garden is my most beautiful masterpiece.
