Guns N’ Roses:
American hard rock band. The band was formed in Los Angeles in 1985. In 1987, they became known worldwide with their first album, Appetite for Destruction.
Guns N’ Roses was founded in 1985 by singer Axl Rose, guitarists Tracii Guns and Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Robbie Gardner. The name Guns N’ Roses was derived from the two bands that eventually formed Guns N’ Roses: L.A. Guns and Hollywood Rose. Tracii and Gardner were unable to appear at the first planned gig, after which McKagan did his best to find replacement musicians. It was he who added guitarist Slash, whom he knew well, and drummer Steven Adler (Hollywood Rose and previously Roadcrew) as replacements, and the original line-up was then complete. (Michael Andrew ‘Duff’ McKagan shuttled between Hollywood Rose and L.A. Guns and brought them together.) In this brand-new line-up, the five were able to perform a few gigs. Duff later stated that they didn’t gain anything from it, but that it strengthened the band “Guns N” Roses’.

When I look into your eyes I can see a love restrained. But darlin’ when I hold you, don’t you know I feel the same. ‘Cause nothin’ lasts forever and we both know hearts can change and it’s hard to hold a candle in the cold November rain.
