Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra:

(Alcalá de Henares, 29 September 1547 – Madrid, 22 April 1616).
One of the most important novelists and playwrights in Spanish literature. He wrote some twenty plays, but is best known for his book Don Quixote of La Mancha (El ingenioso hidalgo Don Quixote de la Mancha).

Cervantes argues that writers and poets often use this freedom to say improbable, absurd or even foolish things, hiding behind the excuse of “poetic licence”.
