Stanley Kubrick

Stanley Kubrick:

(New York, 26 July 1928 – Harpenden, 7 March 1999).

American film director. He is known as one of the most innovative and influential film directors of all time. Kubrick started out as a photographer and slowly developed into an independent director of documentaries and films. He gained success with his first films for Hollywood and then moved to England to gain more control over his productions. From the 1960s, he made Lolita (1962), Dr Strangelove, Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) and 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), among others. After this period, more time passed between new films. He directed only five films in 20 years between 1970 and 1999. Kubrick died on 7 March 1999 in Harpenden, near London.

I think the big mistakev in schools is trying to teach children anything, and by using fear as the basic morivation. Fear of getting failing grades, fear of not staying with your class, etc. Interest can produce learning on a scale compared to fear as a nuclear explosion to a firecracker.
