I miss everything about Chicago, except January and February.

Meaning: Nostalgia and love for Chicago, with one clear caveat: the brutal winter months of January and February (extreme cold, windchill, snow/lake effect). 🥶 Authorship: Most common attribution: Gary Cole (American actor, originally from the Chicago area). 🎭 Important: This attribution is circulating mainly on quote aggregation websites (such as BrainyQuote / AZQuotes / Goodreads) without a primary source attribution. As far as publicly available, no hard verifiable interview, article, or broadcast has been identified as the original source. Conclusion: “Probably Gary Cole,” but not definitively confirmed without a primary source. Origin / provenance: The phrase appears to originate from an interview or media conversation, but there is no generally accepted first publication (year, medium, context) documented in open-access sources. 🔎 It has now become a common one-liner among (former) Chicagoans to satirize winters.
