Philip Sidney:
(Penshurst (Kent, England), 30 November 1554 – Arnhem, the Netherlands, 17 October 1586)
Prominent figure in England during the time of Elizabeth I. He was a noted aristocrat, diplomat, patron and poet. He lives on in his famous sonnets. After his death ( the battle of Zutphen, near Warnsveld, Netherlands )a veritable cult arose around this ‘perfect courtier’.
