Aneurin Bevan:
(Tredegar, Monmouthshire, Wales, 15 November 1897 – London, 6 July 1960).
Better known as Nye Bevan, was a British socialist politician for the Labour Party, and founder of the British health system (National Health Service, ‘NHS’). Bevan was seen as Winston Churchill’s direct political opponent.
If freedom is to be saved and enlarged, poverty must be ended. There is no other solution.
