Johan Daisne:
Pseudonym of Herman Thiery.
(Ghent, 2 September 1912 – there, 9 August 1978).
Flemish writer, poet, prose writer and author of plays, radio plays and essays. His best-known books are De trap van steen en wolken (1942), De man die zijn haar kort liet liet knipt (1947) and De trein der traagheid (1950). He was one of the authors who initiated the movement of magical realism in Dutch literature.
