Chinese-American martial artist, actor, director, martial arts choreographer, kung fu teacher and a well-read lover of philosophy. He is widely regarded as the greatest oriental martial arts actor of the 20th century. For many people, he was an inspiration and a cultural pop icon. He starred in American and Hong Kong films and series. Originally Bruce Lee studied the Wing chun style of kung fu under teacher Yip Man, but he later also devised his own martial art, called jeet kune do, which consisted of a combination of different fighting styles.
