Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock:
(Leytonstone (London), 13 August 1899 – Bel-Air (USA), 29 April 1980).
British film director. He is considered one of the best film directors ever.
Hitchcock’s career spanned an era of more than 50 years. He had success with silent films as well as sound films. His best-known genre was that of the thriller. He was nicknamed the “Master of Suspense”.
