Ayn Rand:
Born Али́са Зино́вьевна Розенба́ум (Alisa Zinovievna Rosenbaum), (Saint Petersburg, 2 February 1905 – New York, 6 March 1982).
American novelist and philosopher. She was the founder of Objectivism, a philosophical movement. She grew up in Russia and left for the United States in 1926, where she assumed American citizenship not much later.
