Aldous Leonard Huxley:
(Godalming, 26 July 1894 – Los Angeles, 22 November 1963).
British-American writer, essayist and poet who became widely known for the many novels and short stories he wrote. One of his best-known works is Brave New World, a science fiction novel.

The perfect dictatorship would have the appearance of democracy, but would basically be a prison without walls in which the prisoners would not even dream of escaping. It would essentially be a system of slavery, where, through consumption and entertainment, the slaves would love their servitude.

We objected to the morality because it interfered with our sexual freedom.

Jehovah, Allah, the trinity, Jesus, Buddha, are names for a great variety of human virtues, human mystical experiences, human remorses, human compensatory fantasies, human terrors, human cruelties. If all men where alike, all the world would worship the same God.

Almost all of us long for peace and freedom; but very few of us have much enthusiasm for the thoughts, feelings, and actions that make for peace and freedom.

Liberty? Why it doesn’t exist. There is no liberty in this world, just gilded cages.

The nature of oratory is such that there has always been a tendency among politicians and clergymen to oversimplify complex matters. From a pulpit or a platform even the most conscientious of speakers finds it very difficult to tell the whole truth.
