John Adams:

American politician of the Federalist Party. He was the second President of the United States from 1797 to 1801.
Adams, a lawyer by profession, was a member of the Continental Congress and one of the most important figures in the drafting and editing of the Declaration of Independence. A top diplomat, he was the first American ambassador to the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands from 1782 to 1788, and also served as the first ambassador to the Kingdom of Great Britain from 1785 to 1788.
