Sir Philip Anthony Hopkins:
(Port Talbot, Wales, 31 December 1937) is a Welsh actor and composer. His probably best-known role is that of Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs, for which he won the 1991 Oscar for best male lead. He received an Oscar nomination for the role of butler Stevens in The Remains of the Day (1993). He won a second Oscar for best male lead in 2020 for The Father.
My philosophy is: what people say about me is none of my business. I am who I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. And that makes life easier. We live in a world where funerals are more important than the oveled, marriage is more important than love, appearance is more important than the soul. We live in a packaging culture that despises content.
