Sully Prudhomme:
Born: René François Armand Prudhomme.
(Paris, 16 March 1839 – Châtenay-Malabry, 7 September 1907). French writer. He was the first recipient of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1901. His best-known poem is Le Vase brisé (1865), about an unhappy love.
