August Friedrich Ferdinand von Kotzebue:

German playwright and diplomat. Kotzebue was the most performed author of his time, and the popular nature of his work made him far more popular than Schiller and Goethe. Kotzebue is considered the greatest critic of Goethe and Schiller.
