Hector-Henri Malot:
(La Bouille near Rouen, 20 May 1830 – Fontenay-sous-Bois, 18 July 1907).
French writer. He studied law in Rouen and Paris, but eventually literature became his passion. He worked as a literary critic for L’Opinion Nationale and a theatre critic for Lloyd Français. His best-known book by far is Alone in the World.
It was no longer the land of dreams, extravagant, vague or elusive, but of reality.
