Antwerp-based cultural journalist and art critic. (°1921-†2004).
He wanted to make few popular art forms acceptable and until 1961 was one of the driving forces of G58, the avant-garde group from Antwerp that managed to turn the Hessenhuis into a buzzing cultural centre avant-la-lettre, a space for artists to explore their possibilities and get in touch with foreign trends, in painting and sculpture but also in photography, poetry, music and film.
