Robin George Collingwood:
(22 February 1889 – 9 January 1943)
English philosopher and historian. Born at Cartmel, Grange-over-Sands in Lancashire, he was a son of the academic W.G. Collingwood. He was educated at Rugby School and at the prestigious University of Oxford. His contributions in philosophy are mainly in the fields of philosophy of art and philosophy of history.
Perfect freedom is reserved for the man who lives by his own work, and in that work does want he wants to do.
