Lucebert:
Pseudonym of Lubertus Jacobus Swaanswijk.
(Amsterdam, 15 September 1924 – Alkmaar, 10 May 1994). Dutch poet and painter. As a poet, he was considered the forerunner of the Vijftigers movement, a progressive group of poets who began experimenting with form and content after World War II. As a painter, he was closely involved in the Amsterdam leg of the experimental Cobra group. A biography by Wim Hazeu was published in 2018. In his younger years, he obeyed the call to report compulsorily for the German Arbeitseinsatz. He then worked as a forced labourer in the German arms industry.
