Johannes Kepler

Johannes Kepler or Keppler:

(Weil der Stadt, 27 December 1571 – Regensburg, 15 November 1630). German astronomer, astrologer, mathematician and physicist, in the service of Emperor Rudolf II, who became best known for his innovation of celestial mechanics: he calculated planetary motions and formulated Kepler’s Laws about them. The basic work to arrive at these insights had been done by his teacher Tycho Brahe. Later, Isaac Newton would explain these discoveries physically through his general law of gravity.
