Walther Rathenau:
(Berlin, 29 September 1867 – there, 24 June 1922).
German industrialist, politician, publicist and writer. Briefly served as foreign minister in 1922, before being assassinated by supporters of the extreme right.

In Germany, patriotism chose the aggressive form. Love of the homeland was clothed in hatred of the foreign.
