Charmaine J. Forde:
American writer.
Born in Barbados, raised in Penssylvania, US.
January, the first month of the year. A perfect time to start all over again. Changing energies and deserting old moods. New beginnings, new attitudes.
I miss being in Barbados in December. That is the time I always remember. The smell of varnish on the wooden floors. And the smell of paint on the wooden doors. The crowds in de Supermarket buying up the rum, and the music blasting. Puh rup a pum pum.
There’s something super special about December.
2020—this is going to be a November to remember.
Don’t wait until the fourth Thursday in November to sit with family and friends to give thanks. Make every day a day of Thanksgiving!
I keep falling in love with October, over and over again!
Falling in love with October. Leaves descending to the ground, orange, magenta, green and brown. The cool crisp breezes in the air, Autumn season must be here.
Let the leaves fall where they may – welcome October. Autumn is here.
This tree must be falling for me, as soon as I sat under it, it dropped its leaves. Oh, sweet October!
It must be October, the trees are falling away and showing their true colors.
I wish that every day was Saturday and every month was October.
It must be September, July sun has disappeared.
Sweet September blessings! I am eternally grateful!
Let’s strive to be better in September!
Take me to that island where people celebrate in the streets in August.
