Pierre Reverdy:
(Narbonne, France 13 September 1889 – Solesmes, France, 17 June 1960).
French poet whose work was inspired by and subsequently influenced the provocative art movements of the time, Surrealism, Dadaism and Cubism. The solitude and spiritual concerns that ran through his poetry appealed to the Surrealist credo. However, he remained independent of the prevailing ‘-isms’, looking for something beyond their definitions. His writing grew into a mystical mission in search of, as he wrote: ‘the sublime simplicity of reality’.

To be moved is to breathe with your heart.
