Albert Pike:
(Boston, 29 December 1809 – Washington, 2 April 1891). US attorney, officer in the army of the Confederate States of America, writer and Freemason.
Pike is the only army officer of the Confederate States who was honoured (until 2020) with a statue in Washington in Judiciary Square. This probably mainly because of his Masonic connection to President Andrew Johnson, who pardoned Pike after the US Civil War.

Knowledge can be turned into power, and axioms into rules of utility and duty. But knowledge itself is not power. Wisdom is power; And its prime minister is justice, the perfected law of truth.
