William James

William James:

(New York, 11 January 1842 – Chocorua, 26 August 1910).
American philosopher and psychologist.
He was the person who brought modern European psychology to the United States. He is considered one of the most important figures in the history of American psychology. As a philosopher, he is placed in the tradition of pragmatism, as one of its leading figures alongside C. S. Peirce and John Dewey.

William was the son of Henry James Sr. and the older brother of the well-known American writer Henry James.
