Elizabeth Cole Midgley:

EElizabeth Cole Midgley is an Amrican educator and author known for her work in creating thematic learning activities for classrooms. She has an Elementary Education degree from Brigham Young University and has taken graduate courses towards a Masters in school counseling. Midgley has taught in primary grades since 1981 and currently teaches first grade. She is a published author and keynote speaker for fellow teachers, and she has also taught parenting classes for local communities.

She has authored books such as “Daily Discoveries for November” and “Daily Discoveries for September,” which provide creative activity ideas for special days throughout the month, incorporating them into regular curriculum subjects like language arts, social studies, writing, math, science and health, music and drama, physical fitness, and art.

Elizabeth lives in Utah with her family and is a busy mother of two boys, Daniel and Matthew.

May day is a great time to plan or put on a Spring Festival for parents. Students can sing their favorite songs, recite poems, and perform the Maypole dance.
