Johann Christoph Friedrich Schiller:

(Marbach am Neckar, 10 November 1759 – Weimar, 9 May 1805).

German playwright, philosopher and poet. He is considered one of the greater literati in German history. In 1792, he was made an honorary citizen of France. In 1802, he was elevated to the (German) peerage, from then on recognisable by the von, added to his name.
